Hi folks-
My co-worker isolated the problem of a 2109 SCADA card to the bottom assembly by swapping the
CPU section out. I found a shorted 1N4004 diode near the card edge, but this still did not restore
functionality. The card was optioned for -48V ops, and now I have got to guess that the TO-92 or
TO-92-3 Regulator is done- MC79L12ACP. Before I get hot ordering a spare 1N5359A diode
( was that DO-41 or DO-15? ) and 33uF 16V tantalum capacitors in addition to the voltage
regulator----- How much would the whole circuit board cost us as either new or 'core' return?
Thanks!

As Rosanna-Rosanna Danna ( Saturday Night Live TV series ) once said- Nevver mind!
The 2109 bottom-board has been repaired. Please thank Dave at Extension 11 for
quoting a price of $795 for the entire assembly and between approx. $80 and $150 to
repair the problem. It turns out that soldering on leads to the set/reset relays and
toggling the second one was enough to get the board working. A separate e-mail
was sent to signalcrafters questions.
